Why are trying to build MotionBox from scratch? The premade binary package did not work?

Actually yes. I downloaded the package for Linux 64 bit. I checked if the start.sh and MotionBox are executable. After all I was managed to play some videos without image with sound only. Then I installed everything I was able to for VLC from Synaptic. So, I am trying to build this :smile: Perhaps I should try to do that with 18.04.

Sorry for the late reply something went wrong with the notifications here.

For some reason the QtWebKit library is missing on the system, that shouldn’t be a problem if you build with Qt5, just remove the “set -e” at the top of the 3rdparty/install.sh and ignore the error.
